Memphis Mission Trip

May 26-31, 2019

Why Memphis?

Memphis is a city with a rich history of music, entertainment, and great food. It's also a city where past hurts from racial injustices are still felt today. We want to be light bearers that take the Gospel, and the hope of Jesus and put it on display. During our time in Memphis we will be partnering with a local church to minister to children in the community. We will have conversations with both white and black pastors about racial reconciliation and how Jesus is the answer to our brokenness. Our prayer is that we  will use those experiences and what God teaches us to come back home and live on mission right here in our own community.

Mission Opportunties

We will be partnering with Mosaic Church and Serve 901 to help lead a VBS as well as other opportunities to share Jesus with the community.  There will also be opportunities for light construction and other service projects.

Explore Memphis

We will enjoy several of the fun & unique elements of Memphis. Our plans include a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum, a Memphis Red Birds baseball game, and lots of great food.

We will be staying in a building our partner church has renovated to house groups. It's a cool industrial space with bunkbeds and hangout spaces. Check out a video of the bunkhouse here.

Each evening our team will have a chance to share with each other what God is teaching us, as well as worship together. We will also have area pastors speak to our team about how God is working in Memphis.

The cost of the trip is $350 for each student. Additional siblings will receive a discounted price of $300 each. We do our best to keep the cost as low as possible for the trip, but we understand it's still expensive. If you need scholarship help please contact us. If you would like to help scholarship a student, please use the button below.

Our Core Values

We Talk About Jesus

Jesus is what we are about. He is our Savior & our King, and we are unashamed in our devotion to Him. Our desire is to provide opportunities for students to tell others about the One who has changed them forever. The trip to Memphis will allow students to talk about Jesus in VBS, Backyard Bible Clubs, and other evangelistic efforts.

We Serve Wherever We Are

We desire to be used by God to be his hands and feet to the world around us. The calling God has placed on our life doesn't change whether we are in Lee County, in Tennessee, or in a foreign country.

We Believe In The Local Church

Short term missions are a great opportunity for students to understand and fulfill the Great Commission. We believe that God has empowered the local church to make disciples. Our goal is to always partner with a church in the area we are serving. This allows us to serve while we are there knowing that the ministry will continue once we leave.
